This site exists for the benefit of our brothers and sisters inside and outside Greece all around the world they have the interesting of learning the ancient Greek language , either by a secular aspect , " θύραθεν παιδεία ", as our holy Father saint Basil the Great teaches :« Πρός τούς νέους, ὅπως ἄν ἐξ Ἑλληνικῶν ὠφελοῖντο λόγων », or by a spiritual one , to be able to read the Orthodox Paradosy (rendering) as it is written by our holy Fathers. It also exists for the necessity to attend the Divine Liturgy originally by the real texts . Every translation , yet to the new spoken Greek language, depraves the scripts , it is a deduction of their value and merits . Independently the nationality or the religion faith we have, the ancient Greek literature , spirit , culture is a universal worth .
The learning of the ancient Greek langage is the best way of learning the new spoken Greek language , because the ancient language is the root , the derivation of the new one. The new spoken language is a default of the ancient one. So our attempt exept an intelectual purpose is not deprived of its usefullness for the contemporary communication with a little adjustment .
We say "welcome" to every community , parish , group, monastery or lonely person has the interesting of this knowledge. We intend to educate a few persons of every community , to enable them to communicate this knowledge to their fraternity . These persons shall be sufficient to teach their fellows and so on. The lessons we have created are so simple and comprehensive as possible . We use not artificial texts created for the teaching purpose , but the real texts , the most famous literature of ancient Greek inheritance and of the Orthodox Paradosy . They are so interesting and attractive , that they allure all of us by their beauty and the heavenly intellectualities .
